ABOUT THIS STUDY
We are researching a new approach to trauma therapy using the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)—a non-invasive listening-based treatment designed to support healing. This study explores how SSP affects trauma symptoms, stress responses, and the therapist-client relationship. The total expected study time commitment is approximately 17 hours distributed over the course of 21 weeks.
Participation Eligibility:
Eighteen years of age or older.
Diagnosed with PTSD or Other Trauma-Related Disorder.
Already under the care of a Primary Therapist
You Cannot Participate if:
- Under the age of 18 years old, pregnant, or incarcerated.
You are currently using or have previously used the SSP in therapy. - You have experienced a traumatic event in the last month.
- You are currently sick (e.g., the common cold, flu, ear infection, etc.).
- You currently or have a history of a substance use disorder, autism spectrum disorder, a personality disorder, or a psychotic disorder.
- You are currently experiencing psychosis, seizures, tinnitus or hearing loss, suicidal thoughts or self-harm behaviors, heart arrhythmia, or pregnancy.
